On Thursday, September 27, the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce announced the newest members of Leadership Greater Little Rock, Class XXXIV, at a formal announcement ceremony at the Clinton Presidential Center. Johnathan D. Horton, a Wright Lindsey Jennings partner, is among the 51 individuals selected to participate in the class.
From Fortune 500 companies to family businesses, Horton focuses his practice on advising and assisting businesses in managing transactional risks and resolving disputes in arbitration forums, in state, federal and bankruptcy courts, and before state and federal appellate courts. Horton’s varied experience in the financial services industry has led numerous parties to seek his counsel, including property and title insurance companies, insurance brokers, and a range of financial institutions that includes national, regional and local banks, trust companies, loan servicers and credit unions.
Horton has received an AV® Preeminent™ 4.9 out of 5.0 rating by Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ www.martindalehubbell/ratings. He was named a “Rising Star” by Mid-South Super Lawyers magazine from 2010 to 2016. Little Rock Soiree magazine also named Horton as one of Little Rock’s best lawyers in 2012, 2014 and 2017. In the community, Horton volunteers his time to causes that impact Central Arkansas children. He volunteers to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas, the Joseph Pfeifer Kiwanis Camp and the Arkansas High School Mock Trial Competition. The Arkansas Bar Association honored Horton with the Golden Gavel Award for outstanding work and service to the Association at its 2013 annual meeting.
Each year, approximately 50 class members are selected from hundreds of applicants to participate in the nine-month leadership program created and facilitated by the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce. One day per month, October through June, the class meets at a different Central Arkansas venue to explore topics through expert speakers, panelists, tours and group presentations. Designed to develop a network of skilled leaders, the program informs and trains participants on a wide variety of local and public issues.
