Wright Lindsey Jennings (WLJ) is pleased to announce the addition of two associate attorneys to the firm’s Little Rock office: Collins Hickman and Shelby Howlett. Hickman is a member of the WLJ business litigation team and Howlett has joined the labor and employment team.
Hickman’s practice centers around business matters and commercial litigation, including banking, secured transactions, bankruptcy, creditor’s rights and collections, and contract disputes. He earned his J.D. from the UALR Bowen School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2020. While in law school, Hickman served as a member and compiler of the UA Little Rock Law Review and treasurer for the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. He is a member of the Pulaski County Bar Association.
Born and raised in Little Rock, Hickman graduated from Little Rock Catholic High School. He earned his B.S.B.A. in Economics with a minor in Finance from the University of Arkansas, where he graduated cum laude. While in Fayetteville, Collins was a member of the Walton Honors Program and Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
Shelby Howlett is a labor and employment attorney who represents employers and professionals in a variety of employment matters. Prior to joining the firm, Howlett served as a federal law clerk for the Honorable Kristine G. Baker at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.
Howlett earned her J.D. from the UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2019. While in law school, Howlett served as the Symposium Editor for the UA Little Rock Law Review. She is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute.
Howlett is from Belle Plaine, Kansas. She received her B.A. in Sociology and International Relations from Hendrix College in Conway. She earned her M. Ed. in Early Childhood and Special Education from Hunter College in New York, New York. Prior to law school, Howlett taught special education and worked as a school administrator.
