Wright Lindsey Jennings’ Government Relations practice group recently released the 2015 Arkansas Legislation Summary of Selected Acts. The report identifies and summarizes select acts passed during the 90th General Assembly that convened in regular session on January 12, 2015 and adjourned on April 22, 2015. The Arkansas Legislature spent a total of 82 days in session—nearly a full month shorter than the last regular session in 2013. In that comparatively brief time, legislators passed 1,288 of the 2,200 filed bills. The 2015 passage rate of 58.5% is significantly lower than 2013’s passage rate of 61%. The effective date of all acts without an emergency clause or specified effective date is July 22, 2015.
