About MaryScott Polk

MaryScott Polk Timmis joined Wright Lindsey Jennings in 2022 after graduating from the University of Mississippi School of Law in May of 2022.

Professional Experience

MaryScott’s growing practice focuses on intellectual property, corporate law, and estate planning. As a registered patent attorney, MaryScott assists inventors with obtaining protection for and defending allegations of infringement for patents, trademarks, and copyrights. In her corporate practice, she represents clients in a range of business matters, including business formation, corporate governance and contract negotiation.

Education

MaryScott earned her J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2022. While in law school, MaryScott served as an Executive Articles Editor for the Mississippi Law Journal and chair of the Interprofessional Education Board. She was also a member of the Moot Court Board and Phi Kappa Phi. She was awarded Top Negotiator in Contract Drafting and Negotiation and the Outstanding Student Award in Contracts.

Community Involvement

MaryScott was an adjunct professor for intellectual property at the William H. Bowen School of Law in the fall of 2023 and she is a graduate of Leadership Greater Little Rock Class XXXIX. She is also an active participant and presenter in the firm’s Woman-Run initiative.

About

MaryScott is from Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated from Pulaski Academy. She earned her B.S. in Engineering from the University of Mississippi, where she graduated cum laude, with an emphasis in Pre-Med Studies. MaryScott was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time on Greers Ferry Lake and cheering on the Rebels.
