Professional Experience

Her practice areas include healthcare contracting; medical staff issues; professional licensing matters; government investigations and regulatory actions; fraud and abuse laws and regulations; patient privacy; telemedicine, risk management, and regulatory compliance. She has extensive experience advising clients on the Healthcare Quality Improvement Act, Arkansas Peer Review Fairness Act, Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act, EMTALA, HIPAA, HITECH, and Medicare and Medicaid regulations.

Before joining the firm, Jennifer spent ten years as an attorney at an academic medical center, and she previously practiced as a registered nurse.

Community Involvement

In 2024, Jennifer was appointed Vice Chair of the American Health Law Association (AHLA) Healthcare Liability and Litigation Practice Group.  She previously served as a participant on the AHLA Medical Staff, Credentialing and Peer Review Practice Group. These experiences allow Jennifer to connect with other healthcare attorneys around the country and stay abreast of new developments in health law.
 
She has served on the Boards of Directors for Dress for Success Northwest Arkansas, the Central Arkansas Rescue Effort (CARE) for Animals, and the Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Association (ARORA). Other volunteer services include the Dress for Success Professional Women’s Group, the William H. Bowen School of Law Professional Mentoring Program, AR Kids Read, and Legal Aid of Arkansas.
 
Jennifer is a graduate of the UAMS Leadership Institute and Leadership Greater Little Rock, Class XXXII. She previously served on the Leadership Greater Little Rock Advisory Board from and the Vizient Risk Management Network Steering Committee.
 
She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Emergency Nurses Association.

Jennifer is a regular presenter at the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians Annual Scientific Assembly.
