Taylor Ellis is an associate attorney with Wright Lindsey Jennings, where her practice primarily focuses on bankruptcy and commercial litigation.

Professional Experience

Taylor’s practice is focused in the areas of bankruptcy, secured transactions, creditor’s rights and remedies and other areas of commercial litigation. Her bankruptcy practice includes representing creditors and trustees in a variety of bankruptcy proceedings and debtors in business cases.

Before joining the firm, Taylor worked as a staff attorney for the Honorable Richard D. Taylor, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas.  While in law school, she was an extern for the Honorable Ben T. Barry, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas.   Taylor also represented consumer bankruptcy clients as a student attorney for the University of Arkansas School of Law Bankruptcy Clinic.

Education

Taylor earned her law degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2020.  Taylor received the prestigious American College of Bankruptcy 2020 Distinguished Law Student Award for the 8th Circuit and the American Bankruptcy Institute Medal for Excellence.  Taylor also served as a Note and Comment Editor for the Arkansas Law Review.  Prior to law school, Taylor earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history, with minors in philosophy and business administration, from Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota.

About

Taylor is originally from Jay, Oklahoma.  She lived in Minot, North Dakota for five years while her husband was serving as an active duty military member at Minot Air Force Base.  She currently lives in Northwest Arkansas and enjoys gardening, traveling, being active, learning more about history and philosophy, and spending time with her husband and two dogs.
