Professional Experience

Laura is engaged in an active litigation and appellate practice, which encompasses class actions, general commercial litigation, contract disputes, and products liability defense.

Prior to joining the firm, Laura was an associate at Paul, Weiss in Washington, D.C., where her practice focused on antitrust defense, complex class actions, and appellate work. Before her time in D.C., Laura was a federal law clerk for the Honorable Bobby E. Shepherd on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Laura earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she graduated cum laude. While in law school, Laura served on the Executive Board of the Harvard International Law Journal and on the Board of Directors of the Harvard Women’s Law Association. She also interned for the Honorable Indira Talwani on the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Tennessee.

Laura received the Ouachita Alumni Milestone Award in 2019.

Laura is involved in WLJ’s Woman-Run initiative, which supports woman-run businesses and women inventors.  Laura also serves on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross Serving Greater Arkansas.

Laura is from Hot Springs, Arkansas. She has a B.A. in English from Ouachita Baptist University, where she graduated summa cum laude as a Carl Goodson Honors Program scholar, and an M.A. in English from the University of Arkansas. Prior to law school, Laura taught English in Pristina, Kosovo and Stuttgart, Germany, and was a Professor of English Literature at Biola University in California.
