Jason B. Hendren
With almost twenty years of experience, Jason Hendren has handled several hundred cases of alleged professional negligence. His practice spans across the state of Arkansas and the healthcare field through his defense of hospital systems, pharmacies and long-term care facilities, as well as individual physicians, physician assistants, CRNAs, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, ophthalmologists, podiatrists, dentists and orthodontists.
He also handles cases involving pharmaceutical and medical device companies in connection with products liability litigation. He is believed to be the only lawyer in Arkansas to have tried an EMTALA case to a defense verdict in federal court. He also counsels healthcare entities on complex legal issues concerning the ever-changing healthcare industry, particularly with respect to risk management and loss prevention.
Prior to his time at the firm, Hendren practiced law for many years as a partner at Friday, Eldredge & Clark LLP.
Mid-South Super Lawyers, Chambers USA and Litigation Counsel of America have recognized Hendren for his work in medical malpractice defense. In 2013, he served as President of the Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel and received an “Exceptional Performance Citation” from the Defense Research Institute (DRI) for his service. He is a recipient of the Arkansas Bar Foundation Excellence in Legal Writing Award and a former adjunct professor at the UALR Bowen School of Law.
Hendren has also been appointed to serve as a Special Associate Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court (2017).
Hendren was the 2014-2015 President of the UALR Bowen School of Law Alumni Board of Directors. He now serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council.
Hendren also currently serves as a DRI State Representative for the State of Arkansas, Vice President and member of the Board of Directors (Northwest District) of the Arkansas Bar Foundation and as a member of the Bentonville Public Schools Foundation Board of Directors. Hendren is a Barrister of the W. B. Putman American Inn of Court and (Sustaining) Fellow of the Arkansas Bar Foundation.
